Terms of service

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use CalSync to send unsolicited messages or to harass anyone.
• Attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours.
• Disrupt the service, for example by deliberately overloading it.
• Resell the hosted service as your own without a separate agreement.

Availability

We work hard to keep CalSync running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Calendar providers occasionally change or restrict their APIs, and features may need to change in response. We will give notice of material changes where we reasonably can.

Your data and your calendars

You keep all rights to your data. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service on your behalf. CalSync creates and updates the calendar events your sync configuration describes and does not modify events it did not create — but you remain responsible for reviewing what a sync will do before enabling it.

Price

CalSync is free. There are no paid plans, no usage charges and no feature reserved for an upgrade. If that ever changes for the hosted service, existing accounts will be told well in advance and the software itself will remain free under the AGPL.

Liability

CalSync is provided free of charge and without warranty. To the extent permitted by law our liability is limited accordingly. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending the agreement

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will explain why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
